Darling Diva Polish - Tilasha and Verad (H)

Get ready! I have lots of pictures to show you this evening!
I have the remaining two multichrome flakie toppers by Darling Diva Polish. They are just as lovely as the others that I've already showed you.

Ready? Here we go!

Tilasha

Tilasha is a blue to red shifting multichrome flakie with a strong holo finish.
In my pictures I have on one coat of Sinful colors "Black on Black", two coats of "Tilasha" and one coat of Seche Vite.

Verad

Verad is a Gold to Green to Blue Multichrome flakie topper with a strong holo finish.
In my photos I am wearing one coat of Sinful Colors "Black on Black", two coats of "Verad" and one coat of Seche Vite.

The same hold true for these two, just like the last two I've showed you. I love the way they applied, and the color payoff is just excellent. When it comes to these flakies, I really think there's something for everyone. I think my personal favorite is Hellea. Check it out [here].

For these and all of the other amazing flakies, keep in touch with Darling Diva polish!

Darling Diva Polish - Prilea (H)

I have another flakie masterpiece for you today! Darling Diva has four new multichrome flakie toppers and this is the second one I've tried. Today's color is Prilea and it is amazing...like, knock your socks off amazing.

Prilea is a green-gold-rose shifting flakie polish with a holographic finish. Just like yesterday's color, and the other two, it is available in holo and non-holo finishes.

Shall we?

It's a stunner, isn't it?

In my pictures I have on one coat of Sinful Colors "Black on Black", two coats of "Prilea" and one coat of Seche Vite.

The above picture is slightly less lit up, so you can see all of its amazing flakes!

I just love how the flakes pop on a black background!

All of my pictures are pretty dramatic so you can see all of the color shift in the polish, I decided to include one in real life. I took the next picture in my living room. It's still beautiful!

What do you think so far? I'll have the last two beauties in this collection for you tomorrow!
Keep in touch with Darling Diva, they've got amazing new things happening all the time!

Darling Diva Polish - Hellea (H)

The flakes! The flakes are everywhere! They're everywhere and I love them.
Darling Diva polish just released a set of multichrome flakie toppers on Friday, and I feel so fortunate to have them added to my collection! There are four polishes in various colors and are available in a holo or non-holo finish. The ones I was given are the holographic versions!

Today's polish is Hellea.

Hellea is a beautiful multichrome flakie topper that shifts from turquoise to pink/purple. In my pictures I am wearing one coat of black and two coats of Hellea.

The above picture is purposefully not as lit up so you can really see the flakes. It's beautiful, isn't it?

I love that you can see all the bits and pieces of the flakes in that macro, especially that big turquoise flake in the middle there!
Keep your eyes out for the rest of these amazing flakie toppers later this week. I'm just not ready to take this one off yet, it's so gorgeous!

Darling Diva has TONS of flakie goodness available in their store now!

Indigo Bananas - Galactic Halo (H)

I know, I know...there's flakies EVERYWHERE. I love all the flakies, I think they are beautiful! They look pretty unassuming in the bottle, but then you layer them over black and POW! They are really transformational. I don't have any of the topcoat flakies but I DO know of some other bloggers with awesome swatches...

Check them out!

(swatches on the Darling Diva site)

The flakie craze has definitely hit the nail community! I decided that I was going to practice restraint and choose the ONE flakie polish that really spoke to me. I saw a swatch of Galactic Halo by Indigo Bananas and went crazy for it. I had seen it on the IB site first, but it wasn't until I saw it swatched by Amanda at Amanda Loves Polish on Instagram. I went and bought it immediately!

There's a lot of pictures in this post, just to warn you!

Drumroll please..............

I am in love with this polish! I understand now, what all the fuss is about!
I have on two coats (only two!) in my pictures.

This polish looks great indoors, out in the sun, in my lightbox, with flash and with no flash. In every light, it's different. The cousin of this polish is Accretion Disk and if you want to see a FANTASTIC swatch, click [here]. Jenne has fantastic swatches, doesn't she?

The picture above is under a lamp that we have in the salon I work in. It really shows the metallic effect in the flakies, even a little bit of the holo!

Normally, I don't include a photo taken with only the camera flash, because it's not the best representation of the color. This is just a gratuitous holo shot. It's so awesome!

Here you can see all the bitty baby flakes in there!

This picture is here to show all of the color shift that this color has. It is also most realistic to what it looks like indoors, in person.

I went to dinner last night, and our server said, "Wow. Your nails are really pretty. That color is awesome."
Even 20 something guys think that Galactic Halo is awesome!
This color and Accretion Disk(the green one) are available in a Holo and a Non-Holo version.
I don't know how long these colors will be around, but you should really get your hands on them immediately!

Alchemy Lacquers - Hemlock

Good morning friends! I am going to start by saying that this is one out of many Alchemy Lacquers that I am obsessing over. Simply put, I want every single color that she offers...

I had to be VERY good and choose only one of the colors that spoke to me the most.

Hemlock is one of five colors in the "Witches Weeds" collection by Alchemy Lacquers. You can see all five [here].

I am so excited about this color. I just love it when I put on a polish and am in awe of it. In all of my photos I have on two coats of Hemlock and one coat of Seche Vite.

Magical.....it's just magical.

Hemlock is, "A blue-purple linear holographic nail lacquer with purple, red, orange, yellow and green multichrome shift."

This is another multi-chrome stunner that feels like a million different colors in one bottle.
Like I said, I think that pretty much every single color in their shop are colors that I would love to own, and I don't usually feel that way.

Head over to Alchemy Lacquers and get some goodies for yourself!

Elevation Polish - Red Sea

I am one lucky girl to have gotten my hands on Red Sea by Elevation polish. This polish was a small batch prototype that was released over the summer. Red sea is a strong multichrome and holo stunner that is a true chameleon. Every which way I look at this color it's different. It's gold, it's purple, it's burgundy and it's majorly holographic!

Of course, the sun wasn't out when I was taking pictures...but you can get a good idea of it's awesomeness.

The next one was photographed with the help of  a led light bar that I just got. I love how you can see ALL of the little bits and pieces that make this polish so amazing.

In my pictures I have on two coats of Red Sea (I really only needed one) and one coat of Seche Vite.
This polish went on smooth as butter.

In case you didn't already know...any SBP that Elevation sells gets snapped up immediately.
Lulu does restocks on the 7th and the 22nd of each month, with a selection of SBPs at every restock.

I'm not sure why this was only released as an SBP...it's so gorgeous, I think everyone should have it!

Remember, the restocks at Elevation happen on the 7th (TOMORROW!) and the 22nd.
Get over there and get your hands on some of Lulu's amazing stuff.

Hello, again!

Hello friends! As you may or may not have noticed, I took a little unannounced break. I'm back, again! Today, to intro myself back I want to share with you some fun nails that some friends and I did one night in my kitchen!

Every once in awhile it's fun to get together to share the pretties that you've accumulated. Since the indie polish universe has so much to offer, it's fun to share and compare your stash with friends.

One Saturday night I had a couple friends over, Erin of ICE Polish and my dear friend Lisa (yes, I take the blame for her polish addiction) came to play with polish!

Let's take a look at what we did!

Erin's Nails

Lisa's Nails

My Nails

A little bit of stamping, a little bit of glitter, some striping tape and TONS of fun!

Fall is here, friends and I am excited for all that the rest of the year has to bring!

Combined forces! ILNP and Enchanted Polish

Hooray! It's Friday! I have a super cool combination to show you today! I got my mitts on "Djinn in a bottle" by Enchanted Polish. Now, I want to Holo EVERYTHING! Djinn is a holo topper, that literally transforms any polish you put it on!

I seriously love holo polish, and I love multichrome polish even more. What happens when you combine a stunning ILNP Ultra Chrome
 and Djinn in a Bottle?

Magic. Nails.

This is probably the most pigmented and color shifting mani I've ever done.
I have on two coats of a quick dry black polish, one coat of ILNP Nostalgia and one coat of Djinn in a bottle.

Nostalgia is a multichrome polish that shifts from different shades of green to varying shades of burgundy with hints of gold and even blue in just the right light.

I have decided that all multichrome polishes look the best (in my opinion) layered over black. It seems to bring out all of the pigment in the polish. Remember my Enchanted and Picture Polish combo? Take a look back, here. Layering those colors over black was necessary, and it looked great.

The collage is of pictures I took in my car, in the sun. Sunlight is what really makes a holo polish pop. There's something about being in the car that shows a holo's flash really well, too. Seriously, these pictures don't do this combo justice. It's like wearing 5 different colors at one time.

The formula of both the ILNP and the EP are fantastic. Easy and flawless application for sure.

ILNP has TONS of stunning ultra chrome, shifty polishes. You can find them at www.ILNP.com. They are always coming out with new, exciting things.

Stay tuned, who knows what combo I might come up with next!

Enchanted Polish and Picture Polish comparison

Happy Wednesday! Hope you're having a great day so far! I have another Enchanted polish to show you today, along with a Picture Polish shade that is full of the same color shifts! In this mani, I am wearing Ciao Milano by Enchanted Polish and Aurora by Picture Polish.

Ciao Milano is a clear glitter topper with a color shift from turquoise to purple and even some blue and gold in just the right light.

Aurora is a complicated little polish to explain...it's tone on tone the same color as Ciao Milano, but the formula and coverage is different. I guess it is best described as a very sheer multichrome polish. The glitter that composes this polish is so teeny that it's hard to tell that it's glitter at all. Also, in the mix, there are larger pieces of glitter like those in Ciao Milano.

Upon first examination, I thought that these two colors would look identical. I decided to start with a base of a very dark purple, and then layered these two lovely polishes over the top. Let me tell you...they are very similar, yet VERY different.

I can't even begin to explain my love for both of these colors. I mean, Aurora says "mind blowing" right on the bottle! In my pics I have on two coats of Sinful Colors "Inkwell" and two coats each of the Enchanted and the Picture Polish.

I love that these colors all work together, but have a slightly different texture. I have been wearing this mani since Monday, and I love it so much I don't want to take it off!

What's not to love about that???

This next picture is definitely not meant to have mesmerizing quality, I just wanted to show you how shifty these colors are! That's what I love so much about multichrome polish, you get all kinds of color, in one bottle.

Yep, thats the Enchanted and Picture Polish. It's in my living room without any light shining directly on it. You can really see that magenta/purple/gold shift, can't you?

I hate to tell you, but these colors aren't the easiest to get your hands on but you can sign up for the Enchanted Polish newsletter at enchantedpolish.bigcartel.com. You can keep up with Picture Polish via Facebook and Instagram too!

Thanks for checking in! Have a fabulous day!

Enchanted Polish - Bonjour Paris

Bonjour! Happy Monday! I have my second Enchanted Polish to show you today. Maybe you're aware, and maybe you're not...but typically, Enchanteds are pretty hard to get your hands on. In the last couple weeks there have been a couple of surprise restocks that are advertised by word of mouth. I found out about them via a couple friends telling me to get my hiney over to the Enchanted Polish site in a hurry. The colors that get posted in a restock are gone nearly as quickly as they are put up.

It's a very interesting thing...the allure of Enchanted Polish. The colors that she creates are without a doubt, gorgeous and unique. You've gotta have a good track record to be able to sell polish sight unseen, like the monthly mystery polishes. Sometimes the demand for these marvelous Enchanted shades gets a little bit out of hand. There have been crashed servers, cartjackings, and general frustration and outrage over this brand's polish. I felt very lucky to (fairly) easily get my hands on a few shades lately. Thanks to Erin, for giving me the heads up for this restock!

Today's color is  "Bonjour Paris". This polish is a multi-chrome glitter topper. It shifts between dark blue, purple and orange-red. For today's pics I layered it over black, so you could really see the colors in this shifty glitter!

I am wearing two coats of black polish, one coat of "Bonjour Paris" and one coat of Seche Vite.

Somehow, miraculously I was able to catch all of the colors in this macro shot! Isn't it beautiful?
Here's another shot of its color shift.

The texture of this polish was great, as always. No problems with application whatsoever.
Maybe the allure of this polish is for you, and maybe it's not...but you can always keep an eye on http://enchantedpolish.bigcartel.com/ , sign up for their newsletter and then you can stay in the loop!

Darling Diva - Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Today, I've got another great indie brand to share with you. I happened upon this brand while I was searching for a whole different polish. The first polish in question is Enchanted Polish, "Future Reflections". Now, the cheapest I've found this polish online is around $25. $25? I just can't bring myself to spend that on one bottle of polish at this point in time.

A friend informed me that Darling Diva had a polish that bears a striking resemblance to the Enchanted polish I had been longing for...at HALF the price. SOLD!

Here she is, "Crazy Little Thing Called Love".

Makes me drool, every time I look at it. This polish is GORGEOUS!

(Here's some background music for you)

In my pictures I have two coats of base coat, two coats of polish and one coat of Seche Vite.

I think this color is in the running for being my favorite. It's so complex and beautiful. The color shifts between purple and teal with a few hints of copper and gold! The icing on the cake is the holo flare that it has. When you see it in the sunlight, it's like "BAM, look at me".

"BAM. Look at me!"

Darling Diva is a Twin Cities based operation which I think is pretty cool, since I live close. Being close also means I got my order wicked fast!

Darling Diva can be purchased on Etsy and Big Cartel!

Thanks for checking in!

What a shifty shifter!

Today I have for you another amazing color by ILNP.
It's another stunning ultra-chrome like Mutagen and Birefringence, but this time, it's a holo too!!!
I give you, Cygnus Loop Holo.

I snagged this one when ILNP opened their sale site up for pre orders. There were LOTS of gorgeous colors to look at! I told myself from the start that I could only choose one! I wanted the non-holo version of this before, so my choice was easy.

I used three coats of color and one coat of seche vite in my pictures.

Cygnus Loop is the shiftiest of the shifters...it's just amazing.
This color goes between bright purple, fuschia, orange and yellow!

This pic is in direct sunlight! Check out that HOLO!!

What makes a nail polish a "Holo"? It means that the polish itself contains something that is called SpectraFlair pigment. I did a little digging around the internet to find that it is basically an additive that has teeny, tiny, little, microscopic light diffracting prisms. Cool, huh? There are TONS of holographic polishes out there, with varying degrees of WOW factor. This one definitely has it.
